The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region is deploying several flagship schemes to support the digital transition of the region’s economic players:

Enable VSEs, SMEs and businesses in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to make a success of their digital transition by benefiting from 100% financed expert support. The Atouts Numériques program – piloted by the Region with European co-funding ( ERDF funds) – offers small businesses a personalized, free support path to develop and implement their digital project.
A dedicated digital advisor is assigned via the Entreprises & Numérique (ENE ) association to guide the company through its digital project. Support includes :
Companies with more than 2 years’ existence and fewer than 50 employees, mainly in the retail or craft sectors, can benefit from Atouts Numériques. These schemes are particularly well suited to local VSEs (retailers, craftsmen, small businesses) wishing to use digital technology to develop their business (online sales, web promotion, management tools, etc.).
Registration is via the Campus Région du Numérique portal, and involves carrying out an online digital maturity diagnostic (free of charge), which forms the basis of the application file. Once the company has been selected, support is fully financed by the Region and the EU – no costs to be borne by the company. This program is an opportunity to access digital experts at no cost, in order to define specifications, choose appropriate solutions and achieve a successful digital transformation. Short or long courses to raise awareness and train companies in cybersecurity issues. 70% of costs covered by the Region. Read more
Help regional businesses protect their data and IT systems in the face of growing cyberthreats. The program entitled “Caractériser la valeur de mon entreprise face aux cybermenaces” (supported by the Region in partnership with the CCI Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and local CCIs) offers VSEs, SMEs and ETIs a training-action program in cybersecurity. The aim is to equip managers and employees with the skills they need to prevent cyber-attacks and set up genuine in-house cyber-protection. [drome.cci.fr]
The program offers two levels of support:
These courses combine group sessions (training workshops) and individual follow-up by a specialized consultant (in-company interventions). Support is tailored to the profile and needs of each structure. [ drome.cci.fr], [drome.cci.fr]
The Region covers 70% of the cost of the service for each participating company. The The total cost of the course ranges from€4, 300 (excluding VAT) for the short course to€7,300 (excluding VAT) for the long course. The remaining cost for the company is around€1,290 (excluding VAT) or only€2,190 (excluding VAT), after regional subsidy. This significant co-funding gives small businesses access to cybersecurity experts at lower cost. [ drome.cci.fr] [drome.cci.fr], [drome.cci.fr]
All VSEs, SMEs and ETIs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region are eligible to apply, regardless of sector, provided they are committed to digital transformation and have not previously received equivalent support. The scheme falls under the de minimis regime, which limits the total amount of public aid per company over 3 years (generally capped at €200,000). [drome.cci.fr]
Interested companies should contact their local CCI or the program team via the Region’s Ambition Eco platform. An initial registration enables an online pre-diagnosis to be carried out and the application file to be compiled. After validation by the Region, the company joins a group for the short or long course, depending on its needs. Approved consultants (via the CPME or the CCI, for example) are then brought in to deliver the training courses and carry out the technical diagnostics on site, over a period of several weeks to months. At the end of the program, the company has a concrete action plan for improving its IT security, and can apply for further assistance if additional investments are required (cybersecurity equipment, system upgrades, etc.).
50% subsidy (up to €16,000) to finance consulting services in digitalization, automation, industrial cybersecurity, etc. Read more
Prepare the region’s industrial companies forIndustry 4.0 by co-financing specialized consulting services. The regional scheme “Être accompagné dans mon projet Industrie du Futur” enables manufacturing companies (VSEs, SMEs or ETIs) to hire experts to modernize their production facilities and adopt innovative technologies (automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, digitalization of processes, data management and information systems, industrial cybersecurity, etc.).
A dedicated digital advisor is assigned via the Entreprises & Numérique (ENE ) association to guide the company through its digital project. Support includes :
The Region covers 50% of the cost of the consultancy mission, up to a maximum expenditure of€32,000 per company (i.e. a maximum subsidy of€16,000 per beneficiary). In practical terms, this means that the selected company can call on the services of a specialist consultancy firm (chosen from a validated list), and half the invoice will be paid by the Region (the remainder being borne by the company). This support falls within the scope of the de minimis scheme (aid capped at €200,000 over 3 years per company).
Industrial companies (including small-scale production companies) based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region are eligible to apply, from small businesses to ETIs (intermediate-sized companies). The assistance is aimed at any company undertaking a project to transform itself towards the technologies ofthe industry of the future: improving manufacturing processes, moving upmarket towards the digital factory, integrating new high-tech equipment, making the transition to energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly production facilities, etc. Examples of topics covered: energy audits of industrial processes, studies on the implementation of robots or additive manufacturing machines, analysis of production flows using digital tools, deployment of an MES/ERP to optimize production management, reinforcement of industrial cybersecurity, etc.
The request for assistance must be submitted before the start of the service on the regional assistance portal (“Industrie du futur” section). First, an intention form must be completed online, enabling an Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises advisor to make contact, refine the need and propose a list of qualified service providers. Once the project has been validated, the decision to grant the subsidy is taken by the Regional Council’s Permanent Commission. The beneficiary company will be asked to submit a final report, and may be assisted in identifying other sources of aid (e.g. to invest in the equipment recommended following the consultancy). Unsecured equity loan to finance digital transformation projects, process digitization, software, digital marketing, etc. Co-financing required. Read more
Financing the growth and transformation projects of the region’s small and medium-sized businesses via a loan on advantageous terms. The Prêt Croissance TPE-PME is a financial scheme co-developed by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Bpifrance to support the development of local companies, in particular by assisting their efforts to digitize and modernize their business.
The program offers two levels of support:
These courses combine group sessions (training workshops) and individual follow-up by a specialized consultant (in-company interventions). Support is tailored to the profile and needs of each structure. [ drome.cci.fr], [drome.cci.fr]
The loan is unsecured (neither on the company’s assets nor on the manager’s assets), and is for an amount of between€10,000 and€300,000 . Repayment takes place over 5 to 7 years, with the option of deferring the first capital instalments for 12 to 24 months. The interest rate is attractive (often around 2% fixed rate, depending on agreements with Bpifrance). No personal guarantee is required to take out this loan.
The loan mainly covers expenses linked to the company’s development project, and in particular investments in digital transformation (e.g. software costs, digitization of processes, online marketing, digital training, recruitment of digital skills). It can also be used to finance low-value tangible investments (IT equipment, small tools), or to bolster cash flow linked to development (increased working capital requirements). This loan must be backed by private co-financing of at least the same amount (bank loan, equity investment, crowdfunding, etc.) for less than 6 months.
VSEs and SMEs in the region meeting Bpifrance criteria (3 years in business, 3 to 250 employees, viable financial health) can apply for this growth loan. All business sectors are eligible (except real estate, finance and first-level agriculture), subject to sales of around < 50 M€ and a sound financial situation. The company must present a sound development project (launch of a new offering, business expansion, digital transition, export, etc.) requiring a capital injection.
Applications for the Prêt Croissance TPE-PME are made online via the dedicated Bpifrance regional platform. Once the application has been submitted, a Bpifrance account manager examines your project, and the Region approves the loan. In addition, Altosor can help you strengthen your file (business plan, digital strategy, forecasts) to maximize your chances of obtaining the loan. Find out more about Altosor
Fund-raising support (€200,000 to €2.5 M) for B2B digital start-ups. Coaching, introductions to investors, mentoring. Read more
Support young innovative digital companies (especially B2B) in their acceleration phase, by facilitating the raising of private capital. The “Reinforcer les fonds propres de mon entreprise du numérique” scheme, initiated by the Region, helps Loire Valley start-ups raise between€200,000 and€2.5 million to finance their commercial and technological growth.
